MGM College Elevates Learning Experience with Inauguration of Teaching, Learning, and Assessment Centre

On the 5th of October 2017, a significant stride towards enriching the educational landscape was taken as MGM College proudly inaugurated its Teaching, Learning, and Assessment Center. The auspicious occasion witnessed the esteemed presence of Dr. A Krishna Rao, former Dean and Head of the Department of Medical Education at KMC, Manipal, who had the honor of inaugurating the center. Providing further insight and inspiration, Dr. Ramnaryan, former Vice Chancellor and currently Vice President of Faculty Development and Alumni Relations, as well as Chairperson of Jaipur Manipal University, delivered a thought-provoking keynote address.

Presiding over the event was Dr. H. Shantaram, Secretary of the Academy of General Education, whose esteemed presence lent an air of distinction to the occasion. Sharing the stage were also Dr. Girija and Ms. Malathi Devi, PU Principal, who added to the event's significance.

The occasion was artfully introduced by Prof. Kusuma Kamath, who extended a warm welcome to the esteemed guests and attendees. Dr. Sureshramana Mayya, the Head of the Department of Commerce, expressed gratitude and extended a vote of thanks to all who graced the event. Steering the event with grace, Ms. Mythili Hegde ensured the smooth flow of proceedings as the program's compere.

Sacred Sharada Pooja Illuminates MGM Library with Devotion

As the auspicious Navarathri festival graced the town of Udupi, a reverent Pooja ceremony was held at MGM College on Thursday, September 28, 2017. The occasion was dedicated to seeking the divine blessings of Goddess Saraswathi, the embodiment of knowledge and wisdom. The Pooja was conducted within the serene premises of the College Library, with the collective aspiration for the betterment of the college, its students, and staff.

The event witnessed a gathering of esteemed personalities who are deeply committed to the academic and spiritual growth of the institution. Among the luminaries present were Prof. Kusuma Kamath, the Principal of the College, Ms. Malathi Devi, Principal of PU College, Mr. Vidhyanath, Mr. Subodh Pai, Mr. Puthi Vasanth Kumar, Mr. Kishor H. V, the Chief Librarian, Mr. Ramesh K, Mr. Raghurama Holla, Ms. Rekha N Chandra, Mr. Mithun, Miss Supretha, Miss Priya Shree, Ms. Ashwani Acharya, Mr. Babu, Office Manager, Mr. Harish of Office, Mr. Sridhar of MGM Estate, Mr. Vinith of Gandhian Study Centre, Dr. Sureshramana Mayya of the Department of Commerce, Ms. Usha Rani, Dr. Puthi, Prof. Surendranath Shetty, along with other faculty members and numerous non-teaching staff. The presence of Mr. Sreekar and other Student Welfare Council Members added vibrancy to the occasion.

The responsibility of orchestrating the Pooja was undertaken by the diligent Librarian of MGM College, Mr. Kishor, who seamlessly coordinated the proceedings.

Guided by the reverence for knowledge and spirituality, the ceremony was beautifully conducted by Senior Faculty member, Mr. Muralidhar N of MGM College. His devotion and profound understanding resonated with the sacredness of the occasion, as he led the attendees through the Pooja with utmost sincerity.

As the aroma of incense wafted through the library, and the soft glow of diyas illuminated the surroundings, the Sharada Pooja marked a harmonious convergence of faith and education. The presence of all these esteemed individuals under one roof, united in their pursuit of wisdom, added an extra layer of sanctity to this memorable event.
