Retirement is often seen as the end of an era, but for me, it marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter filled with opportunities and intellectual growth. As I bid farewell to the institution where I had dedicated years of my life, I realized that retirement didn't mean the end of work; rather, it opened doors to pursue work that truly fascinated me.
My post-retirement journey took me on a captivating path, one
that allowed me to continue my passion for academia and research. I am thrilled
to share some highlights of my post-retirement endeavours.
Continuing the Academic Journey:
After retiring, I was appointed as the Director of the Post
Graduate Department at Govindadas College, Surathkal. This role allowed me to
leverage my experience and contribute to the growth of young minds, moulding
them into the leaders of tomorrow. Simultaneously, I served as the Dean of
Poornaprajna Institute of Management for a rewarding two-year period.
In 2021, my journey took another exciting turn as I joined
the esteemed Srinivas Institute of Management as a Research Professor. This
move provided a fresh impetus to my life, rejuvenating my passion for research
and academic pursuits.
A Tribute to Mentorship:
Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to cross paths
with exceptional mentors, and one individual, Dr. P S Aithal, played a pivotal
role in shaping my academic journey. His unwavering support and willingness to
share his expertise and knowledge with colleagues, including myself, have been
instrumental in my growth as a professional.
Participating in the Srinivas University Research CONCLAVE:
Recently, I had the honor of being invited to the prestigious
Srinivas University Research CONCLAVE at Hotel Srinivas. The event served as a
mega gathering of brilliant research scholars and esteemed Research Professors
like myself. It was a captivating experience, fostering intellectual exchanges
that fuel innovation and progress in academia.
New Perspectives and Ongoing Learning:
Post-retirement life has proven to be a time of continuous
learning and self-discovery. Each day brings new opportunities to explore,
learn, and expand my horizons. Embracing this phase with an open mind has
enriched my academic life and equipped me with valuable insights.
Retirement has not been the end of work for me; it has opened
doors to engage in meaningful endeavors. My academic journey continues to
thrive, allowing me to contribute to the world of knowledge and inspire the
next generation of scholars. I am grateful for the unwavering support of
mentors and colleagues whose guidance has fueled my passion for learning. As I
embark on this new chapter of life, I eagerly look forward to the endless
possibilities that lie ahead.
