Habuild Yoga Community Holds Its First Offline Yoga Meetup at Bhujanga Park, Udupi

A Community-Centred Step Toward Consistent Wellness

Udupi, Karnataka | 14 December

Bhujanga Park, Udupi, became a vibrant space of calm, energy, and collective mindfulness on Sunday morning as the Habuild Yoga Community successfully conducted its offline community yoga meetup, marking a meaningful local extension of the globally recognised Habuild Yoga movement.

The session was organised under the guidance of Habuild Yoga and its founder, Sourabh Bothra (Sourabhji). The programme was conducted strictly as per the structured yoga schedule designed by Sourabhji, who attended the session online, while participants gathered physically at the park and followed the live session through the official Habuild link.

Approximately 40 participants attended the session in person, demonstrating the growing interest in community-based wellness initiatives in Udupi.

Community Formation and Local Coordination

The session began with self-introductions, enabling participants to connect personally and understand the shared motivation behind their participation. As part of local coordination and continuity, Mr. Krishna Hebsur took the initiative to create a WhatsApp group for participants, facilitating communication, coordination, and future engagement among local Habuild members.

This step played an important role in establishing a local Habuild Yoga community, while remaining aligned with the larger Habuild ecosystem.

A Joyful and Energising Yoga Session

The one-hour yoga session was energetic, inclusive, and deeply engaging. Participants from different age groups practised together with enthusiasm and ease, reflecting the accessibility and adaptability of the Habuild yoga system.

The collective experience highlighted how Habuild digital-first yoga model seamlessly translates into offline group practice, reinforcing the principle that yoga thrives on consistency, community, and shared discipline.

The atmosphere throughout the session was joyful and motivating, and group photographs were taken to commemorate this memorable beginning.

A Shared Resolution for Monthly Meetups

At the conclusion of the session, participants unanimously expressed their desire to continue such gatherings on a monthly basis. The intention is to foster sustained physical health, deepen social bonding, and strengthen community spirit through regular collective practice.

Such initiatives exemplify how large-scale digital wellness movements like HaBuild can successfully inspire localised, grassroots participation, bridging technology with human connection.

Gratitude and Reflections

Heartfelt gratitude is extended to Sourabhji and the entire HaBuild team for their unwavering commitment to making yoga accessible, consistent, and community-driven. Their disciplined approach and ethical vision have enabled participants across regions to integrate yoga into daily life as a sustainable habit rather than an occasional activity.

As the author of this blog, I, Dr. Sureshramana Mayya, personally participated in the session along with my wife and found the experience both refreshing and inspiring. Interacting with like-minded individuals in a serene outdoor setting reaffirmed the value of combining digital innovation with offline community engagement in the practice of yoga.

Looking Ahead

The successful completion of this first offline meetup at Bhujanga Park marks the beginning of a growing Habuild Yoga presence in Udupi. With monthly sessions planned and local coordination now in place, the initiative holds promise as a model for sustainable, community-based wellness.

As Habuild Yoga continues to demonstrate how ancient yogic wisdom can be reimagined through modern digital platforms, such local gatherings stand as living expressions of yoga’s deeper purpose — holistic well-being through collective consciousness and disciplined practice.
