A Day of Nostalgia with Sridhar C R

A Day of Nostalgia with Sridhar C R

Imagine my delight when I received an unexpected call from Sridhar C R, a dear classmate from our BBM days at Poornaprajna College, Udupi. With no plans on the horizon for the 21st, a Monday, I invited him over. By 9:30 am, he was at my doorstep.

Our first instinct was to reconnect with other classmates in Udupi. Madhusoodan, ever the gracious host, treated us to tea and snacks at a hotel near the Service Bus Stand. After our brief catch-up, he accompanied us to PPC. However, due to his commitment to attend the anniversary of Prof. Radhakrishna Rao, he had to depart early. Still, the moments spent reminiscing with Madhusoodan were truly special.

Attempts to reach Mrs. Vaijanyanthi Pai and Chandrashekar Adiga revealed they were preoccupied. With the spirit of nostalgia guiding us, Sridhar and I decided to delve deeper into our memories at PPC, our beloved Alma Mater.

Though the college was closed for Nagarapanchami, Principal Raghavendra was in. Greeting us warmly at Nagabana, at PPC, he led us to his chamber. With genuine affection, he updated us on the transformations at PPC, highlighting the many hands that have shaped its current stature. We captured these moments with a few photographs.

Sridhar then expressed a desire to stroll down the streets he once called home, leading us to State Bank Road, fnear Volakadu. We also reached out to our cherished faculty members, Prof. Sadashiva Rao and Prof. Venugopal Mulleria. While Mulleria was in Bangalore, Prof. Rao was attending the same memorial event as Madhusoodan.

Our day culminated with me dropping Sridhar at his relative's place in Parkala Vittlavadi. The day was a heartwarming reminder of the bonds forged during our college days.
