MGM Commerce Department Bids Farewell to Dr. Sureshramana Mayya

 

A heartfelt farewell was extended to Dr. Sureshramana Mayya, Head of the Commerce Department, in a memorable event organized by the faculty, Commerce Club members, and students. The occasion took place at Nutana Ravindra Mantap on January 6, 2018. The event was skillfully compered by Ms. Tejamrutha.

Mrs. Vanitha, Assistant Professor of the Commerce Department, eloquently highlighted Dr. Mayya's remarkable achievements and contributions. Miss. Keerthi PM, a faculty member of the Commerce Department, shared her personal perspective on Dr. Mayya's impact. Ramesh Karla, the Head of the Commerce Department, expressed profound appreciation for Dr. Mayya's dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment.

Prof. Kusuma Kamath, the former Principal, lauded Dr. Mayya's pivotal role during the NAAC visit to the College and his commendable research pursuits. Prof. Lxminarayana Karanth, Head of the Department of Economics, highlighted Dr. Mayya's noteworthy contributions.

CA Sridhar Kamath, the Core Faculty of B.Com Vocational Course, underlined Dr. Mayya's instrumental role in upholding the quality of the B.Com Vocational Course as its Director.

Numerous students also took the opportunity to share their thoughts and experiences of Dr. Mayya's teaching. Dr. Sandhya R Nambiar, Principal of MGM College, felicitated Dr. Mayya alongside the faculty members of the Commerce Department. She commended his distinctive personality and acknowledged his disciplined and committed work that set him apart.

Mr. Sreekar Pai, Student Leader, joined the stage to recognize Dr. Mayya's dedication and commitment. Dr. Mayya expressed his gratitude to former Principal Prof. Kusuma Kamath, the College management, faculty of the Department, the current College Principal, and all the students. He recognized the wonderful opportunity he was given and the unique bonds he formed during his tenure.

This farewell event served as a heartfelt tribute to Dr. Mayya's contributions and left an indelible mark on the MGM Commerce Department's collective memory.
