On May 20, 2024, I embarked on a memorable journey to the Baje Sri Vishnumurthi Temple in Delanthabettu, near Bandiyod in the Kasaragod District. My travel began at 7:30 AM when I left home and reached Udupi by 7:50 AM. As usual, I caught the Pragathi bus and arrived in Mangalore at 9:10 AM.
Upon
reaching Jyothi Circle, I quickly boarded a Kerala Government bus heading to
Bandiyod. Travelling alone, I opted not to take my car for this trip. I arrived
in Bandiyod at 10:15 AM and promptly caught a bus to Meepri, which is closer to
Baje. I reached the Baje Temple at 10:30 AM.
The
visit was to attend a small function organized to name the child of Akshatha,
my brother Dinesh's daughter. It was a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with
many people from my native village.
After
enjoying a delightful lunch, I began my return journey to Manipal, reaching
home at 3:45 PM. The trip was filled with cherished moments and a deep sense of
connection to my roots.
